About Us

Supportiv is an on-demand peer-to-peer service that provides mental, emotional, and social support through live-moderated small group chats, open 24/7.

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and intellectually curious Clinical Writer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support a series of studies evaluating Supportiv’s impact and effectiveness. This individual will play a key role in critiquing, describing, and writing the findings for publication and dissemination. Key projects include: 1) Writing and contributing to a longitudinal study that tracks mental health outcomes over time among Supportiv users; 2) Describing findings from a study evaluating Supportiv’s hybrid-based resource sharing system, including insights on user needs and resource alignment; and 3) Supporting the write-up of a study focused on adolescent users, highlighting trends in presenting concerns, session themes, and reported outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as first or second author on manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals, white papers, or research briefs that highlight Supportiv’s digital health outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with the data science team to interpret findings and craft clinically meaningful narratives related to healthcare trends, user outcomes, and regulatory relevance.
  • Develop and refine research protocols and reporting guidelines, ensuring alignment with academic and clinical publication standards.
  • Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and synthesize findings to inform framing, discussion, and contextualization of original research studies.
  • Take ownership of the full manuscript lifecycle—from outlining and drafting to responding to reviewer feedback and preparing final submissions.
  • Assist in editing and strengthening existing manuscripts for tone, structure, clarity, and alignment with target journal guidelines.
  • Ensure proper citation, referencing, and ethical reporting practices across all research outputs.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree required: MD, PhD, or PsyD strongly preferred; candidates with a Master’s in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, Public Health, Social Work, or Industrial/Organizational Psychology will be considered with a strong publication record.
  • Proven experience as a lead or contributing author on peer-reviewed publications in behavioral health, digital health, or related fields.
  • Deep understanding of evidence-based practices, psychological theory, and outcome measurement within behavioral healthcare settings.
  • Demonstrated commitment to innovation in behavioral health and strong interest in scaling impact through digital health solutions.
  • Exceptional writing skills with the ability to translate complex clinical or quantitative findings into accessible, engaging content for academic and stakeholder audiences.
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative in managing multiple writing and research projects under tight timelines.
  • Familiarity with ethical standards, IRB processes, and behavioral health compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2) is a strong plus.
  • High proficiency with Google Workspace, reference managers (e.g., Zotero, EndNote), and experience working within collaborative manuscript platforms (e.g., Overleaf, Google Docs, MS Word Track Changes).

Benefits

  1. Valuable hands-on behavioral research experience in the digital health industry.
  2. Mentorship from experienced behavioral professionals and industry experts.
  3. Exposure to cutting-edge technology and innovative healthcare solutions.
  4. Opportunity to make meaningful contributions to improving healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.
  5. Potential for career growth and advancement within the field.
