Supportiv Inc. (https://www.supportiv.com), as well as any present or future affiliated or related company or app (“Supportiv” or “we”), recognizes the importance of your privacy. This privacy policy tells you what personal information we collect and how we use it. Supportiv may change this privacy policy from time to time, in its sole discretion, as discussed below. By using or visiting any Supportiv website, software, apps, tool, data feed, and/or service (collectively the “Service”), you understand and agree to the terms of this policy.
What Information Does Supportiv Collect?
Supportiv is an anonymous service that does not require any personal information for use.
Personal Information: We may collect personal information only when you specifically and knowingly provide it to us, for example when you create a profile, or optionally provide us personal information such as your e-mail address, phone number, or other information. When you initially provide or update your payment information, it is transmitted via an encrypted connection to one of our third-party payment processors: PayPal, Amazon Payments, or Stripe (which also handles Apple Pay and Google Pay). Those third-party processors use and process your payment information in accordance with their respective privacy policies. (PayPal’s Privacy Policy, Amazon Payments’ Privacy Policy, Stripe’s Privacy Policy). We don’t store your payment information, other than your zip code and country, which we require for billing and to comply with tax and other government regulations. Supportiv does not consider personal information to include information that has been anonymized so that it does not allow a third party to easily identify a specific individual. We may collect and use your personal information to operate and improve our Service, to process your transactions, to provide customer service, to perform research and analysis aimed at improving our products, Service and technology, and to display content that is customized to your interests and preferences. You may always choose not to provide personal information, but if you so choose, certain parts of the Service may not be available to you. If you contact us about our website or services, we may retain the content of your email, your email address and our response to you. We may retain your information for a period of time to resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems or for other valid business or legal reasons.
We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are under 13, please do not attempt to register for the Service, or send any personal information about yourself to us. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. Will Supportiv Share Any Personal Information It Receives?
Except as disclosed in this privacy policy, Supportiv does not share your personal information with any outside parties.
Supportiv will use personal information directly provided by you solely for the purpose for which you have provided it, whether it be to use the Service, access the app, register, communicate with you or others, request information, etc. We may share this information with service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as processing information requests, displaying stored data you access, to assist us in marketing, to conduct audits, etc. Those companies will be permitted to obtain only the personal information they need to provide the service they provide, will be required to maintain the confidentiality of the information, and will be prohibited from using it for any other purpose. International Usage
The Service is owned by Supportiv and may be accessed in the United States and abroad. For data protection purposes, Supportiv is the controller and, unless otherwise noted, is also the processor of data. Information collected may be retained, and may be stored, processed, accessed, and used in jurisdictions whose privacy laws may be different and less protective than those of your home jurisdiction.
Notice to European Users
The Service is targeted for users in the United States of America. Any information you enter into the Service may be transferred outside of the European Union to the United States of America which does not offer an equivalent level of protection to that required in the European Union. In particular, you are advised that the United States of America uses a sectoral model of privacy protection that relies on a mix of legislation, governmental regulation, and self-regulation. Security and Encryption
We follow generally accepted industry standards to help protect your personal information. Therefore, while we endeavor to maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the confidentiality of the information that we collect online, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Our Service has security measures in place designed to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. You are responsible to keep your password secure.
