A new study in JMIR Human Factors has found compelling outcomes in a retrospective analysis of Supportiv’s anonymous, 24/7, real-time synchronously moderated digital peer support services, provided to employees from five large companies across different industries.

The retrospective analysis of 24,818 employee chats found positive results from Supportiv’s synchronous, moderated digital peer support with real-time resource sharing.

Single-session impact: Negative, productivity-inhibiting emotions of loneliness, sadness, stress, anxiety, depression, despair, and helplessness saw an average 38-77% improvement.

Key resource navigation: The addition of realtime resource sharing through Supportiv’s patented technology compounded positive emotional outcomes by up to 8.8 additional percentage points on average.

Male inclusivity: The anonymous, synchronous peer support solution saw an atypically high male engagement rate of 29%.

After-hours support: 68% of DPS conversations occurred outside traditional business hours, highlighting the gap in typical mental health care and the need for 24/7 accessible mental health support.
