This January in Davos, Switzerland, Supportiv’s CEO and Founder appeared on a panel discussing the role of AI in mental health, including opportunities for innovation, the importance of guardrails, and how the field can responsibly address growing global demand for quality support.
Helena Plater-Zyberk of Supportiv sat alongside industry colleagues Arthur C. Evans, Ph.D. from the American Psychological Association and Dena Trujillo from Crisis Text Line, moderated by Richard Lui from MSNBC and hosted by THE REAL Mental Health Foundation.
With ongoing conversations about AI regulation and adoption, consumer safety was a central focus of the discussion. Safe deployment of AI relies on judicious deployment of AI – for instance, supporting the provision of human-to-human care modalities, rather than replacing human connection as in the case of “therapybots.”
The World Economic Forum provided a valuable setting to explore these topics from a global, consumer-first perspective. For more information on Supportiv’s AI vs. human mental healthcare stance, browse the site or drop us a line at info@supportiv.com.
