In a push to meet rural mental health challenges with innovative technological solutions, Supportiv has been selected from dozens of contenders to participate in AscendRural’s first pilot program, focusing on youth in Central Minnesota.

Launched by Sourcewell, AscendRural connects local leaders and community organizations with technology partners to address critical rural challenges (illuminated by research from Heartland Forward and AscendRural) including mental and physical health, internet connectivity, and social infrastructure.

Through its 24/7, instant, live-moderated peer support chats and hyper-personalized resource referrals, Supportiv aims to address these critical availability and access issues standing in the way of youth mental health in Central Minnesota. The mechanism? Providing safe, evidence-based attention in the exact moment of need, connecting youth with understanding peers, and identifying further resources to support each individual’s journey.

Continuing its track record of serving the teen Medicaid audience to great success, Supportiv hopes to make measurable improvements to youth wellbeing and resilience through this program.
